Hi Everyone!
Well I'm back from The Triglav Trophy. Sorry it took so long to write a journal but I was trying to get caught up with school work. The competition was great, I skated very well. I missed my triple salchow in the short, and skated a clean long. I will always remember this competition because it was my first real international competition outside the U.S.A. I made a lot of new friends and had fun with the skaters I already knew. The Turkish Team gave some of us a key chain shaped like a heart with an eye in the center. They told us this would ward off evil thoughts of your competitors during competitions. I wish they had given it to me before the competition, (just kidding). The best part was that The U.S.A won the Trophy. We all skated great and had a wonderful trip.It was so much fun meeting people from different countries. Speaking of different countries, Slovenia is a beautiful country! We stayed in a hotel surrounded by snow capped mountains, just like you would see on a postcard!
Now I can check off one of my things to do from my favorites list, I got to go to Italy! On Saturday Beatrisa Liang, Adam Aronowitz, Traighe Rouse, our Moms and I got to go on a day trip to Venice, Italy. It was so much fun, I could not believe I was there! All the old buildings, canals, churches, and boats were so beautiful. I want to go back so bad! We had lunch at St. Marks Square and did some site seeing. Did I mention how much fun it was yet? Sorry about that but I'm smiling as I'm writing this. I want to thank everyone for wishing me good luck and all your support.
Yours truly,
Louann
