Hochstein among 14 head to Germany

Fourteen skaters from the United States will compete in the fifth event of the 2009 Junior Grand Prix, Sept. 30-Oct. 4, in Dresden, Germany, including Kiri Baga, Grant Hochstein and Angela Maxwell. With strong performances, Hochstein and Maxwell could ensure their trip to the Junior Grand Prix Final.

Team USA athletes head to Belarus, Germany

The United States will send a team of 10 skaters to the fourth event of the 2009 Junior Grand Prix in Minsk, Belarus, while six U.S. skaters will travel to Oberstdorf, Germany, for the Nebelhorn Trophy. Among those headed to Germany are 2009 U.S. Champions Alissa Czisny and 2007 U.S. Champions Brooke Castile and Ben Okolski, who are skating in their first international since the 2008 World Championships.

Official schedule released for 2010 nationals

The official event schedule for the 2010 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships, which will transform the Spokane Arena into the nation’s liveliest and most exciting sporting venue in exactly four months, was released today. The hopes and dreams of America’s best skaters will hinge on their performance at the event as they vie for a U.S. title and the ultimate prize — selection to the U.S. figure skating team that will compete 18 days later in Vancouver.

Becky Bereswill joins Figure Skaters Online

Reigning Junior Grand Prix Final Champion Becky Bereswill is proud to open her official Web site at Figure Skaters Online. Bereswill, who made her senior international debut by winning the bronze medal at 2008 AEGON Challenge Cup, plans to make her Grand Prix debut at November’s NHK Trophy in Nagano, Japan. She will also compete at the Finlandia Trophy, Oct. 8-11, in Helsinki, Finland.
