Hi Friends and Supporters!
As sad as we are to announce today that we will not be participating in our Grand Prix events this fall, we are relieved and happy to be able to say that I’m on my way to good health.
While the road to recovery can be challenging, I believe that all of the struggles and obstacles I’ve faced prior to this have armored me with the necessary strength to overcome the journey ahead. I have faith that, with patience and perseverance, we will be back stronger and better.
I can assure you guys that the *Alexa* that came alive in our best competitive performances will be fighting hard and persistently! As I often like to say … “BEAST MODE!” Looking forward to skating for you all again!
Love you all,

The time has come….

Posted by on Aug 26, 2015

CHAMPS CAMP has come and gone! And… we survived! It was wonderful to see all of our fellow teammates. We love getting the chance to be together among all of USFSA’s top athletes for the season. We share the same dreams and goals, as well as some of the same fears and worries. Thankfully, everyone survived the altitude during their free skates/dances.

We received great feedback from the judges and officials. Minor tweaks need to be made to this season’s programs, but we are thrilled with the way we skated them this week. We have just a few weeks until our first international assignment. We are ECSTATIC to be going back to Germany for Nebelhorn Trophy. It is such a beautiful place to be. There’s a lovely short walk from the hotel to the rink. You pass through little shops and restaurants. Sometimes cows pass you along the way! The mountain view is gorgeous and the grass never looks greener.  Last year we both had homework to do while we had downtime, so we couldn’t explore as much as we wanted to. This year we are both finished with our degrees and have to opportunity to be curious if we want!

On Friday we leave to go to Florida for Skate for Hope! We attended Skate for Hope in Ohio earlier this year. We are beyond thrilled to be taking part in our second show with them. We both have some family that live in the area that are coming to watch. We will skate to our Aerosmith show program. The cast is full of great skaters. It’ll be a quick two day trip and we won’t get to be in the sun much… but training comes first. 😉

In other news: We got a dog! We now have a full house. Two cats, Scarlet & Muffy, and our beautiful girl dog, Cami. Women are taking over our family. 4 girls and ONE Chris! And some say “this is a man’s world…!” Haha! “Who run the world? GIRLS!” Thanks Beyoncé!

Bye for now friends,

Mid Summer Update

Posted by on Jul 12, 2015

Hey everyone!

We hope your summer has been going well. We’ve been having a very adventurous summer handling whatever the universe sends our way! It’s been very unpredictable. 😉

This past week we traveled to Milwaukee for Skate Milwaukee. We attended last year and liked the vibe of the event. We wanted to see how our new programs felt in a different environment. Things always feel like they work until you’re put into a different setting. You are able to see things from a different light. Some things that look great at home may not look as impactful when there are nerves/different rink size etc. and vice versa. We competed both our short and free program watered down. We were proud of how they were executed and now have a gage of where we are in terms of building for the Grand Prix circuit.

We are THRILLED with our invitations to compete at Skate America and NHK. This will be our second Skate America. It’s going to be a great event with really strong skaters attending. If anyone can travel to Milwaukee for the competition, you should start buying your tickets now!

Our first grand prix together was at NHK in 2012. We haven’t been back since then. Below are the “throw back” youtube links to those performances. We loved that competition and it has a special place in our hearts.

In other news….

We’ve officially set our wedding date! We are getting married on June 26, 2016. The count down has begun!

Take care,
