The Team USA Ladies Figure Skating Team consists of three very talented young ladies. Many people have heard about 2014 U.S. Champion Gracie Gold and two-time National Champion Ashley Wagner.\u00a0 But many have not heard about 15-year-old Polina Edmunds. So that\u2019s why Figure Skaters Online caught up with the 2014 U.S. Silver medalist for a fun interview before she took off for Sochi.<\/p>\n

What is your favorite element in your programs?<\/b><\/p>\n

I like my triple-triple combination\"polinamedal\"<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What do you like most about skating?<\/b><\/p>\n

I like to skate my programs with the choreography because it makes me feel like a ballerina.<\/p>\n

What is one thing you\u2019d like to change about skating if you could?<\/b><\/p>\n

I would like to change the politics of the sport, giving freedom to everyone.<\/p>\n

What are you most looking forward to about Sochi?<\/b><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t wait to see the Olympic village.<\/p>\n

Do you know who you\u2019ll be rooming with in the Olympic Village?<\/b><\/p>\n

Not yet<\/p>\n

What is your goal for Sochi?<\/b><\/p>\n

My goal is to skate two clean programs.<\/p>\n

What is one thing you bring with you every time you travel to competitions (not counting skates and costumes)?<\/b><\/p>\n

I bring my iPad for school work.\"polinafree\"<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Your mom is from Russia and you still have family there. Will you be able to see your family that lives in Russia while you are there?<\/b><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t know yet, but some will most likely come.<\/p>\n

Is there an athlete you\u2019d like to meet in Sochi?<\/b><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t wait to see Shaun White and all of the other famous Olympic athletes.<\/p>\n

Turning to some questions not regarding skating. What\u2019s your favorite subject in school?<\/b><\/p>\n

Art and History<\/p>\n

What do you like about school?<\/b><\/p>\n

I like the campus and the atmosphere at school because it is very supportive and friendly.<\/p>\n

What do you like to do when you are not skating?<\/b><\/p>\n

Cook\/bake, draw\/paint, knit, play with my dog, and dance<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite color?<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

Pink<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite movie?<\/b><\/p>\n

The Benchwarmers<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite song\/singer\/band?<\/b><\/p>\n

Christina Aguilera, Lennon and Maisy Stella<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite TV?<\/b><\/p>\n

Nashville, Pretty Little Liars, and Dance Moms<\/p>\n

What do you like to eat for breakfast?<\/b><\/p>\n

Waffles, eggs, and bacon<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favorite drink?<\/b><\/p>\n

I like to watch TV.<\/p>\n

Do you have any pets?<\/b><\/p>\n

Yes I have a dog labradoodle named Domino.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get to some fun questions! If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?<\/b><\/p>\n

Near the beach in California.<\/p>\n

If you could travel back in time, what time period would you go to?<\/b><\/p>\n

I would go to the 90\u2019s and be part of the Full House cast.<\/p>\n

You like to make fun music videos. How or why did you get inspired to start making fun music videos?<\/b><\/p>\n

My older brother started making iMovies when he was about 11-years-old, so I always wanted to be like him, making movies with friends.<\/p>\n

What are some of your favorite moments that you captured in your videos so far?<\/b><\/p>\n

Some great moments were from when I was in Salt Lake City, dance daring famous coaches with my friends, and also in Japan, we had a lot of fun behind the scenes of the competition.<\/p>\n

Can we expect an Olympic video or two from you in Sochi?<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll probably leave that to Team USA ice dancer Alex Shibutani<\/p>\n

You are really good friends and partners-in-crime with ice dancer, Anthony Ponomarenko, who is the son of your choreographer, Marina Klimova. Describe Anthony in three to five words.<\/b><\/p>\n

He\u2019s hilarious, crazy, energetic, all-around fun person to be with.<\/p>\n
