After a disappointing end to the season and not making the Olympic team, Adam Rippon is looking for a fresh start. He did just that recently in Espoo, Finland at Finlandia Trophy. Rippon took home the silver in his international season debut.
In a few weeks, Rippon will compete at Skate Canada and Trophee Eric Bompard. Last season, he started the Grand Prix Series by taking home the silver at Skate America. He also finished in fourth, just shy of the podium, at NHK Trophy. Rippon finished in eighth at the U.S. Championships in Boston and eighth at Four Continents.
Rippon wasn’t the only one to take home a medal from Finland. Samantha Cesario took home the silver in the ladies’ competition. She will compete at Skate America in Chicago next weekend. After winning the bronze medal at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic in September, Anastasia Cannuscio and Colin McManus took home another bronze medal. They will be competing at Skate America as well.
