Joshua Farris joins Figure Skaters Online

Joshua Farris, who starts his quest for his first Junior Grand Prix gold medal later today, is proud to open his official website at www.figureskatersonline.com/joshuafarris/ in cooperation with Figure Skaters Online.

Farris started his season earlier this month with a silver medal at Junior Grand Prix Romania. He’s currently competing in Sheffield, Great Britain, with eyes on the gold medal and a berth at the Junior Grand Prix Final in Beijing, China, in December.

He will make his senior debut at the 2011 U.S. Championship. In 2010, he won the silver medal in the junior division. He is the 2009 U.S. Champion in novice men’s, the 2008 U.S. Champion in intermediate men’s and 2006 U.S. Champion in juvenile men’s.

He trains in Colorado Springs, Colo., under the direction of Tom Zakrajsek and Becky Calvin, a team that led U.S. Champion Rachael Flatt to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. He also receives coaching from Erik Schulz.

Farris’ programs are choreographed by Tom Dickson. For his 2010-11 short program, he is performing to “El Dron” by Pepe Habichuela while his free skate is set to Music from Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin.

Fans can visit his site at www.figureskatersonline.com/joshuafarris/. Joshua Farris Online not only features news but also features photos, both on and off ice, a blog and a contact form where fans can e-mail Farris.
