Olympic Champion Evan Lysacek will make his dancing debut tonight on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. He and partner Anna Trebunskaya, a Russian dancing pro who has finished as high as second place in previous seasons, are vying for the Mirror Ball trophy.
“After all of the practice, I am so ready to get out there and compete,” said Lysacek, who withdrew from this week’s World Championship in Torino, Italy.

Also competing on DWTS this season: Buzz Aldrin, Pamela Anderson, Erin Andrews, Shannen Doherty, Kate Gosselin, Niecy Nash, Chad Ochocinco, Jake Pavelka, Nicole Scherzinger and Aiden Turner. Lysacek ranks among the favorites.
“Learning to dance has been really challenging for me because it’s actually a lot different than skating. It’s a lot harder than I thought it would be,” he said. “Everyone was telling me that I would naturally be good at it because I’m a skater but that’s not really the case. Luckily, Anna is an amazing teacher so it’s been a great experience.”
“I’m excited to show everyone what Anna and I have been working on for the past few weeks.”
